EXPERIENCE IN DEFENCE AND SPACE AT THE INTERSECTION OF POLICY, INDUSTRY AND BUSINESS
Sandra Mezzadri brings over 30 years of experience across European defence, space and security policy, programmes and industry, developed through senior roles within EU institutions and extensive strategic advisory work with companies and industry organisations and within leading European think tanks.
She has held senior positions at the European Commission and the European Defence Agency (EDA), working on defence procurement, capability development and European defence programmes. This experience has provided her with a first-hand understanding of how European policies, priorities and programmes are shaped and how these translate into opportunities and requirements for industry.
Today, Sandra continues to contribute at European level as a defence and space industry expert within European Commission DG DEFIS advisory structures, supporting the development of EU defence policies and programmes. She is also accredited as a security expert for DG HOME, advising on capability concepts for internal security, dual-use applications and the growing synergies between defence and security.
Alongside these institutional activities, Sandra has developed extensive hands-on industrial and business development experience, advising companies and industry associations on strategic positioning, market development, partnerships and engagement with European and national stakeholders.
She serves on the Board of Directors of the European Organisation for Security (EOS), maintaining close links with the European industrial and security ecosystem and is a NATO Leaders Mentor.
