In the framework of a collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), Sandra Mezzadri has delivered an analytical study on the Earth Observation component of the European Resilience for Space (ERS) programme. The analysis examined the programme’s strategic relevance and provided recommendations to strengthen its impact. It analyses how ERS-EO could address fragmentation and limited responsiveness in Europe’s current Earth Observation landscape. It also explores the development of a federated, multi-sensor system-of-systems integrating national, EU, and commercial assets through AI, in-orbit processing, and secure digital infrastructure.
